| For thick vibrant new turf, hydro-seeding is the most effective method. The hydro-seeding process begins by mixing mulch, quality seed, fertilizer and water in the application tank of the hydroseeding machine. The mixed slurry is then applied as a controlled spray from the tank onto the ground. This means that it’s unnecessary to drive motorized equipment onto your landscape. Once the slurry is in place, the material boosts initial growth by creating a microenvironment specifically developed for the germination of seed. Results are quick with a high germination rate.
Growth occurs in just seven to 10 days. The reason you see growth in such a short time is that the mulch fiber can hold up to 10 times its weight in water, keeping the seed moist and hidden from the scorching rays of the sun. The fibers then decompose over time creating nutrient rich soil for continued growth and no mess to clean up. There is no method that is more affordable, economic, and efficient. The seed blend can be mixed to your specifications or we can help devise a blend to fit your site.
Terra Seeding: Terra-Seeding is very similar to Hydro-seeding but we combine Soil, Seed, and Starter Fertilizer in order to create the best possible microenvironment for grass to grow. Often we use this method when most of the turf is undesirable. The lawn is cut short and killed off. We then spray the Terra-Seed mix onto the area. You will be amazed at the growth rate. When the grass comes up it looks like a lawn with sod. |

Seasonal defoliation means that it is the ideal time to have your trees pruned!
With no leaves on your trees our arborists have an unobstructed view of structural defects and dead wood.
In fact, Oaks and American Elms must be pruned during the dormant season.
The insects that transmit Oak Wilt and Dutch Elm Disease are not active while the trees are dormant.
