McGinty Bros., Inc. Gives Back

Whitney Elementary School in Lake Zurich

Recently, McGinty Bros. Inc. was thrilled to lend a helping hand in creating an authentic fall woodland scene, along with a real tree in the foyer of Whitney Elementary School, in Lake Zurich. The McGinty Bros. team provided and cut the tree branches, to bring to life the vision of Amy Noland. The foyer of the school was transformed into a fall tree bursting and growing out of a picture glass window case onto the ceiling, with vibrant fall leaves displayed everywhere. The positive response from the students and faculty alike has been so great, that they plan to utilize the “set” including the tree, to kick off the changing of seasons from fall to winter.

The Long Grove Rotary

McGinty Bros. Inc. is the proud annual sponsor for the Rotary Club of Long Grove Heritage 5k/3K Walk & Run. In addition to a commitment as sponsor, the McGinty Bros. team is responsible for set-up, break-down and storage of all of the equipment needed for this noteworthy race to be put on. The race draws close to 1000 participants each year and collects close to eighty-thousand dollars for local charities that do not have resources to organize a fundraiser.

The Shops of Long Grove Holiday Tree

McGinty Bros. Inc. donated an enormous 30 foot live holiday tree for the local Shops of Long Grove. The McGinty Bros. team hand delivered the Spruce tree to kick-off the small town festivities and tree lighting ceremony. The live tree was delivered with special McGinty equipment and was encased in burlap, with a mulch and soil mix, to protect the roots for future re-planting. The final product was a beautifully decorated tree that was truly enjoyed by all.

Hospice of Northeastern Illinois in Barrington Project

A parcel of property originally owned by Pepper Construction has been under the tutelage of the McGinty Bros. Inc. The McGinty Bros. team has been caring for the trees on the property years before Hospice of Northeastern Illinois in Barrington Project began construction on their new Pepper Family Hospice Home and Center for Care.
In conjunction with another local arborist McGinty Bros. volunteered their time and lent their expertise in making a strategic tree protection and preservation plan. The McGinty team put their plan into action, trimming all of the trees on the property, installing tree protection fencing and mulching. They worked hand in hand throughout the excavation and building process to ensure the highest survival rate possible. The plan was instrumental in saving virtually all significant trees on the property with over ten trees successfully surviving the construction process.

Hospice of Northeastern Illinois in Barrington

Hospice for McHenry County was founded in Woodstock by five women who pooled their money together to offer end-of-life care in far northeast Illinois. A small group of volunteers dedicated to the hospice philosophy established a not-for-profit program called Hospice of Northeastern Illinois. Hospice of Northeastern Illinois is licensed by the State of Illinois as a volunteer hospice. Hospice of Northeastern, Illinois moved to an office building in Barrington, 410 S. Hager Avenue. An $18.5 million capital campaign to build the first "green" hospice home in the state of Illinois began after a feasibility study showed a great need for such an offering in the northern Illinois region. The Pepper Family Hospice Home and Center for Care opened in July 2010.
